Pharmacists are a great source of health advice and information.
They are experts in medicines and how medicines work:

  • they can help you decide if you need to see a doctor
  • they can give you advice about how you can treat and look after yourself.

You can find your nearest pharmacy via the NHS website and on the ASAP website, or by downloading the ASAP app.

During the current pandemic, you should not go to a pharmacy if you have symptoms of Covid-19:

  • a cough
  • a high temperature
  • shortness of breath
  • loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

instead, please telephone your own GP surgery, use the NHS 111 online symptom checker or call 111.

Many pharmacies will have access to a prescription delivery service, but if you are experiencing problems getting your medication the Community Help Hub can help. Over ordering of repeat medication is not needed and GP surgeries will not be changing the usual length of medicine supplied to patients. This will ensure there are always stocks available.
